Avishay Shamay

Avishay Shamay is an experienced R&D professional currently serving as an R&D Group Manager at Zesty since May 2023, following a role as R&D Innovation Team Leader at Fortra from 2021 to 2023. At Fortra, Shamay led a global Scrum team of 10 members to drive innovative projects post-acquisition of Beyond Security. Prior experience includes serving as Technical Lead at Beyond Security, where Shamay managed and built the development team, and as R&D Team Manager at Fingenom Ltd., overseeing a multidisciplinary team while maintaining hands-on involvement and utilizing Agile methodologies. Earlier roles include software development at Fingenom and SightVision LTD, focusing on Python and algorithm optimization for trading strategies. Avishay holds an MBA in Innovation & Entrepreneurship from Tel Aviv University and a Bachelor's in Computer Science from Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
