Philip Nguyen has a diverse work experience spanning from 2001 to the present. Starting in 2001, they worked as a Project Manager in the Information Systems Group at Silicon Valley Bank. From 2004 to 2007, they served as a Senior Marketing Program Manager at BEA Systems, where they developed strategies and managed various marketing programs. Philip then joined Cisco Systems in 2008 as a part of the Strategy and Operations team for Data Center Networks/Cloud Computing, contributing to significant growth in the Cloud Practice. In 2011, they transitioned to Hewlett-Packard, where they served as the Chief of Staff and Director of Strategy, Planning, and Operations for Experience Marketing. Here, they managed various areas, including budgeting, workforce planning, and program management. Philip then moved on to Bluescape Software in 2014, taking on the role of the Head of Communities and Customer Success. Philip built and led a team focused on customer success and developed programs that increased customer engagement and loyalty. In 2016, they joined Tiny as the Senior Director and Head of Customer Success and Customer Advocacy. After that, they worked independently as a Stay At Home Dad and Customer Success Consultant for PTN Enterprises, Consulting Services, offering management consulting for customer success strategy and planning. Philip rejoined the workforce in 2020 at TechSoup, where they served as a Customer Success Leader until 2022. Their most recent position is as a Customer Success Leader at Zesty since February 2023.
Philip Nguyen holds a Master of Science (MS) degree from Northwestern University, specifically from the Kellogg School of Management and the School of Communication. Their field of study during their master's program included Strategy and Management, Marketing, and Organizational Strategy.
Prior to their master's degree, Philip obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from UC Santa Barbara.
In terms of certifications, Philip earned the Stanford Certified Project Management qualification from Stanford University's School of Engineering in 2009.
