Dr. Shilowbhadra Banerjee

Dr. Shilowbhadra Banerjee is a distinguished metallurgical engineer and academic, currently serving as Founder Chairman and Director of SYS3E Technologies since October 2016 and ZEUS NUMERIX since April 2004. Dr. Banerjee holds a Bachelor of Technology (Honors) in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Kharagpur, a Master of Engineering in Advanced Metallurgy from the University of Pune, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Bombay. Dr. Banerjee's extensive career includes roles as Lecturer, Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor at IIT Bombay from 1962 to 1975, Professor at IIT Bombay from 1976 to 1985, Director of the National Metallurgical Lab in Jamshedpur from 1985 to 1992, and Director of SAIL from 1992 to 1997. Dr. Banerjee has contributed significantly to the field with 51 international publications, 17 patents, recognition through nine national and international awards, and fellowship in seven prestigious academies. Additionally, Dr. Banerjee has held various consulting and board positions in both public and private sectors, contributing to numerous technical committees and academic bodies.
