Colin Smith has a comprehensive work experience spanning several industries. Colin is currently the Head of Information Technology at Zevas Communications since 2021. Prior to that, Colin worked at Ford Motor Company as an IT Manager from 2018 to 2019 and as an IT Support Specialist from 2012 to 2017. Before joining Ford, Colin was self-employed as a Cabinet Maker from 2002 to 2012. Colin also worked at Nortel Networks as a WAN Engineer from 1997 to 2002, and at Ericsson as a Technical Product Support Specialist from 1995 to 1997. Colin's earliest work experience was at Ford Motor Company as a Network Support Engineer from 1989 to 1995.

Colin Smith holds an HND in Computer Programming and Systems Analysis from Liverpool John Moores University, which they obtained from 1987 to 1989. In 1993 to 1994, they pursued an Associate Course in Digital Communications at The Open University. Colin then went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Data Communications from Kingston University, from 1996 to 1997. In 2002 to 2004, Colin obtained NFQ Level 6 in Furniture Design & Manufacture from Colaiste Stiofan Naofa, Cork. Additionally, they hold a PRINCE2® Foundation Certification in Project Management from PeopleCert, which they obtained in 2020.
