Rene Braeckman has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Rene is currently the Senior Vice President of Clinical Development at KemPharm, Inc., where they lead the clinical development strategy, designs and executes clinical trials, and manages external partners. Prior to this role, Rene held various positions including Vice President of Clinical Development at KemPharm and VP of Clinical Development at Amarin Pharma Inc. Rene has also worked at Reliance Clinical Research Services, Valeant, Pan Pacific Pharmaceuticals, CEPTYR, Inc., Chiron Corporation, and Abbott Laboratories, and has had responsibilities in areas such as project management, clinical operations, and drug development.
Rene Braeckman obtained their Pharmacist degree from Ghent University in 1977. Rene then pursued a PhD in Clinical Pharmacology & Pharmacokinetics at the same university from 1978 to 1982. Additionally, they completed a specialization in Clinical & Hospital Pharmacy at Ghent University in 1978.
