Nuno Cortesão

Nuno Cortesão has a diverse work experience that spans across various industries. Nuno'smost recent role was as the Co-Founder & CEO of Zharta, a company they started in 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Celfocus as a Blockchain Advisor and later as the Growth Strategy Lead for the Blockchain Center of Excellence. At Accenture Portugal, Nuno held the position of Digital Associate Manager and Head of Blockchain, where they were responsible for solution architecture, concept creation, advising C-level executives, leading the Portuguese Blockchain area, and delivering a full gamification solution for a P2P marketplace. Before joining Accenture, Nuno worked at NTT DATA as a Senior Consultant and Head of Blockchain, where they specialized in blockchain technology. Nuno also had previous roles as a Consultant and Junior Consultant. Nuno's early work experience includes an internship at TAP Portugal in power plant engineering. Overall, Nuno has demonstrated expertise in blockchain technology, entrepreneurial skills, strategic planning, and multidisciplinary team management.

Nuno Cortesão obtained a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering- Energy/Mechatronics from Instituto Superior Técnico, where they studied from 2008 to 2015. In 2012, they participated in the Erasmus program at KU Leuven, focusing on Energy. In 2013, they took part in the Athens Programme at Czech Technical University in Prague, concentrating on Management and Economics of the Enterprise. Additionally, in 2011, they attended the Athens Programme at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, specializing in Vibro Acoustic Simulation in Aerospace. In March 2017, they obtained a certification in ITIL Foundations from EXIN your ICT competence partner.
