Adrian Kruit

Adrian Kruit is the Head of the medical laboratory at Ziekenhuis Nij Smellinghe, a community hospital in Friesland, since October 2013, overseeing a team of 79 FTEs and an extensive test menu in chemistry, hematology, and transfusion medicine. Additional roles include serving as a board member of the medical staff association, Clinical Chemist and deputy director at NEN, Chair of the IVD norm committee for ISO, and an active member of ISO TC212 WG1 and the Dutch Accreditation Council since November 2015. Prior experience includes leadership positions at Eurofins Central Laboratory, The Ottawa Hospital, and various laboratory directorships. Adrian Kruit holds a Master of Science in medical biology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a PhD in Medicine from Utrecht University.
