Geert van der Sluis

Geert van der Sluis is an accomplished professional in healthcare, currently serving as the program leader for research and innovation at Ziekenhuis Nij Smellinghe since April 2019 and as a lector focused on functioning and participation related to hospital admissions at Hanzehogeschool Groningen since November 2021. Previously, Geert held the position of project leader in value-based healthcare at OLVG from April 2018 to June 2019 and served as a PhD student and physical therapist at Ziekenhuis Nij Smellinghe from September 2003 to April 2018, with a particular interest in clinical care advancements for patients undergoing major surgeries like total joint replacement. Geert's early career included working as a radiotherapy technician at Oslo universitetssykehus from March 2001 to September 2003.
