Andrea Lucia Tapia-Hoffmann

Dr. Andrea Lucia Tapia-Hoffmann currently serves as Senior Data Protection Manager at Solaris SE since January 2024, following a tenure as Group Head of Legal and Privacy & Data Protection Officer at Web Shield from December 2019 to January 2024. Previous roles include Legal Expert and Data Protection Officer at PRISMA European Capacity Platform GmbH, and Research Associate at HHL Leipzig Graduate School of Management. Dr. Tapia-Hoffmann has also contributed as a Visiting Researcher at Banco de la República and held various positions in organizations such as FEE, The Cato Institute, and Luis Fernando Torres y Abogados Asociados. As the founder of the Ecuadorian chapter of The Human Rights Foundation, Dr. Tapia-Hoffmann was a key spokesperson in Ecuador. Educational qualifications include a Doctorate in Public Law from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg and a law degree from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Ecuador, along with a fellowship at New York University School of Law.
