Egor Akimov

Egor Akimov has a wealth of experience in the sports industry. Egor began their career in 2011 as Head of Science at the Moscow Center of Advanced Sports Technology, where they were responsible for heading and supervising a group of experts that created the concept of a cutting-edge Sports Science Center. Egor also supervised all operations at the Center and managed the staff of 30 sports scientists. In 2016, Egor moved to the Central Cross Country Ski Association, where they served as Sport Development and Education Director. In this role, they were the head scientist in the "CXC Center of Excellence" and designed and performed applied scientific research in collaboration with the US Olympic Committee and sports tech companies. In 2017, Egor became the Chief Executive Officer at Zihi Inc., an AI/ML-based endurance sports training platform. Finally, in 2022, Egor joined MERET Solutions as a Product Owner.

Egor Akimov received a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Exercise Physiology from the Russian State University of Physical Training, Sport and Tourism between 1999 and 2006. Egor has also obtained certifications from LinkedIn, DataCamp, and other institutions. These include The Five-Step Creative Process from LinkedIn in September 2022, Intermediate Python for Data Science from DataCamp in March 2019, and Python Data Science Toolbox from DataCamp.
