Nitin Sonawane

Nitin Sonawane is the Co-Founder and Head of Product at Zilla Security. Nitin has over fifteen years of experience in the technology industry, with a focus on product management and engineering.

Nitin's career began at SavaJe Technologies, where they were an architect. SavaJe was a mobile OS with Java at its core, and Nitin had the opportunity to work with customers such as LGE, Asustek, GSL, and LongCheer. Nitin learned many lessons during their time at SavaJe, including the importance of not scaling too early.

In 2006, Nitin joined PacketVideo Corporation as the Director of Systems Engineering. Nitin was responsible for starting the Boston office and working on Android before it was known to the world.

In 2008, Nitin co-founded Tap 'n Tap, a software platform for tablets long before the iPad was released. As the VP Engineering, they built a world-class team and helped pioneer the tablet space.

Most recently, Nitin was the Director of Product at MobileIron from 2012 to 2019. Nitin helped global companies become mobile first by enabling them to securely access corporate data on any device, anywhere.

Nitin has a wealth of experience in product management and engineering, and they are currently using their skills to build the next generation of security products at Zilla Security.

Nitin Sonawane received a B Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
