David Mitchell

David Mitchell has a diverse and extensive work experience in the logistics and shipping industry. Currently, they serve as the Managing Director of ZIM Integrated Shipping Services in New Zealand, where they oversee all aspects of the company's operations. Prior to this role, they worked as the General Manager - Liner Agencies at Inchcape-McKay, leading and managing liner agency operations. David also held the position of National Trade & Logistics Manager at A.P. Moller - Maersk, where they established customized logistics solutions and managed complex projects. Additionally, David has experience in supply chain optimization and transformation, having worked as a Supply Chain Optimisation/Transformation Manager at Goodman Fielder and in logistics improvement at Fonterra. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, performance management, process optimization, and stakeholder management.

David Mitchell's education history includes a Supply Chain Master Class degree from The University of Auckland, a Leader of Leaders degree from Maersk Training, and a Diploma in Shipping and Freight from New Zealand Maritime School. David is also currently pursuing a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from Aveta Business Institute.
