Joerg Schmidt

Joerg Schmidt is an experienced finance professional with a robust background in global operations and supply chain management. Currently serving as VP Finance for Global Operations at Zimmer Biomet Inc. since 2015, Joerg manages a team of 120 members and reports directly to the CFO & Executive Vice President. Previous roles include Director Finance for Central & Eastern Europe at Biomet Europe, where Joerg led a team of 50, and Director Finance & Supply Chain Management at Biomet Deutschland GmbH, overseeing 25 team members. Joerg's early career includes positions as Managing Director at Arthrovision Sport GmbH and Director Finance & Controlling at Merck Biomaterial GmbH, among others. Joerg holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Vienna University of Economics and Business, specializing in Controlling, Production and Supply Chain Management.
