Sean Casey

Sean Casey is an engineering leader specializing in energy storage and mechanical engineering. They hold both a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Oregon State University, where they focused on renewable energy systems and mechanical design. They have significant experience in developing battery technologies, particularly during their time at ESS, where they contributed to the design and scaling of the iron redox flow battery. Currently, Sean serves as the Lead Applications Engineer at ZincFive, Inc., while continuing consultancy at Energy Scale, LLC, where they leverage their expertise in design, modeling, and product development. Sean is also an inventor on seven patents and enjoys outdoor activities in their leisure time.
