Sabin Thomas

Sabin Thomas has a strong background in technology and engineering. Sabin is currently working as the Founder and Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Zing Data, where they focus on making data simple, collaborative, and accessible. Prior to this, Sabin served as the Senior Director of Engineering at F5, where they led the development and product strategy for Application Security and Infrastructure Security products.

Before joining F5, Sabin held the position of VP of Agent & Application Security Engineering at Threat Stack, Inc. Sabin also founded and served as the CTO of Bluefyre, a company that empowers developers to build security into their applications, with a focus on microservices architecture and containers. Bluefyre was later acquired by Threat Stack.

Sabin's experience also includes working as the VP of Engineering and Co-Founder at Codiscope, a company specializing in developer security tools. Sabin managed multiple teams and was directly responsible for a substantial staffing budget.

Earlier in their career, Sabin served as the Director of Engineering at Rakuten, where they led the architecture and design of eCommerce loyalty marketplaces. Sabin also founded Nodespan, a company that applied machine learning to improve customer support.

Before entering the startup world, Sabin worked as a Senior Team Lead at SumTotal Systems, where they played a crucial role in architecting and developing enterprise-class solutions. Their expertise includes fault tolerance, optimization, and scalability.

Sabin Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, as well as Computer Science, from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Sabin later pursued a Master of Science degree in Engineering and Management from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Sabin also completed a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from Boston University. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the Advanced Project Management certification from the Stanford Center for Professional Development in 2009.
