Samir Palnitkar has a long and successful career in the technology industry. Samir started their career in 1992 at Sun Microsystems, where they were involved in the design and development of multiple ASICs and two microprocessors, including the UltraSparc. Samir also wrote a book, Verilog HDL: A Guide to Digital Design and Synthesis. In 1995, they founded I2P, Inc., a multi-million dollar semiconductor IP company specializing in PCI, 1394, USB and other bus controller architectures. The company was later acquired by Lattice Semiconductor in Oregon. In 1999, they founded Obongo, Inc., a high profile internet company providing single sign-on technology. Obongo was acquired by America Online in 2001. After the acquisition, they founded Jambo Systems, a consulting company where they worked with customers such as Sun Microsystems, Cisco and Ikanos. In 2003, they founded Mojo Networks, a world's more secure, cloud Wi-Fi solution. Mojo raised $87 million from top VC firms. In 2011, they founded ShopSocially, a premium SaaS platform for social, referral and loyalty marketing. In 2017, they became the VP of Customer Success at Zinrelo, a loyalty rewards and referral program that boosts per-customer revenue by 2.

Samir Palnitkar completed their B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur between 1986 and 1990. Samir then went on to pursue a MS in Computer Engineering from the University of Washington between 1990 and 1992. In 1994, they completed their MBA in International Business from San Jose State University, which was completed in 1996.
