Monique van Bruggen-Rufi

Monique van Bruggen-Rufi is an experienced music therapist and researcher with a diverse background in music therapy education and practice. Currently serving as a music therapist at Zinzia Zorggroep and a senior researcher at Saffier, Monique has also held the position of lecturer in music therapy at ArtEZ Conservatory Enschede since 2010, where responsibilities include managing the PreMaster's and Master's programs and teaching guitar and singing skills to music therapists. Monique's previous roles encompass significant contributions to institutions like Opella and the ARQ National Psychotrauma Centre, focusing on implementing music therapy for specific populations, including elderly individuals from the Dutch-Indonesian community. Monique obtained a PhD from Leiden University Medical Center in 2018, specializing in music therapy related to Huntington's disease, and holds advanced degrees in music therapy from Zuyd University of Applied Sciences and ArtEZ University of the Arts.
