Ryan Hawkins

Ryan Hawkins, M.Ed., holds extensive experience in educational leadership, primarily in special education and student services. Currently serving as the Director of Special Education at Zion Elementary School District 6 since July 2025, Ryan previously held the role of Director of Professional and Student Services at McHenry County ROE #44 from July 2023 to July 2025. Prior to this, Ryan was the Director of Instructional Services at the Special Education District of Lake County, emphasizing curriculum and assessment. Additional roles include MTSS/SEL District Coordinator at Waukegan Public Schools, where Ryan led various teams to implement academic and behavioral support systems across 24 schools. Other positions have involved teaching and volunteering roles in multiple districts, focusing on special education and curriculum development. Ryan holds a Master of Arts in School Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Social Science Teacher Education.
