Rujul Zaparde is the co-founder and CEO of Zip. Rujul was previously a visiting partner at Y Combinator, a product manager at Airbnb, and the co-founder and CEO of FlightCar. Rujul dropped out of Harvard at 17 to start FlightCar. Grew to 100+ employees and 12 locations over the next few years. Served as CEO from founding to exit, to Mercedes-Benz. Zaparde also started Drinking Water for India (nonprofit) while in school. To date, they've built 50+ wells in Indian villages, bringing clean water to over 100,000 people.

Rujul Zaparde was deferred admission to start FlightCar at Harvard University. FlightCar was a part of the w2013 batch at Y Combinator. Rujul Zaparde went to The Lawrenceville School.
