Nikhil Simha

Nikhil Simha is an experienced technology leader currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Zipline AI since June 2024, focusing on building a next-generation AI data platform. Nikhil has also been an author at Chronon AI since December 2019, where the project Chronon was created to support critical machine learning and AI workloads at Airbnb and is now open-source under the Apache 2 license. Prior to these roles, Nikhil worked as a Senior Staff Software Engineer at Airbnb from December 2017 to June 2024, supporting data systems for machine learning and AI. Nikhil's earlier experience includes a Software Engineer role at Facebook from November 2013 to December 2017, contributing to distributed stream processing systems and job scheduling engines, as well as a brief stint as a Software Development Engineer at Amazon in 2012. Nikhil holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, earned in 2012.
