During their early career, Alexander worked as a Mechanical Engineering Intern at MIOX Corporation from 2009 to 2012. Alexander conducted experiments, created AutoCAD schematics, and gained experience in water treatment technology.
Alexander also had a High School Summer Internship at the Biomedical Center of the University of New Mexico in 2008 and 2009.

Alexander Thal began their education in 2010 at Carnegie Mellon University, where they studied Mechanical Engineering until 2012. In 2011, they spent a year at UNSW, also focusing on Mechanical Engineering.
