Conor French

Chief Regulatory Officer at Zipline

Conor French has dedicated their career to fighting for the little guy. Conor started out as a corporate lawyer, but soon realized that their true passion was fighting for the rights of consumers and businesses that were being taken advantage of by large corporations. Conor co-founded the Responsible Business Lending Coalition, which fought for regulations to prevent predatory lending practices, and also co-founded The Alliance for Artisan Enterprise, which helped promote sustainable businesses in developing countries.

In 2014, they joined Funding Circle US as General Counsel, and helped the company become one of the leading online lenders to small businesses. Conor also served on the Board of Directors for the American Fintech Council.

In 2018, they left Funding Circle to join Zipline as Chief Regulatory Officer. At Zipline, they are responsible for ensuring that the company complies with all regulations and consumer protection laws. Conor is also a member of the Presidential Leadership Scholars program.

Conor French received their J.D. from New York University School of Law. Conor also holds a B.A. in Theirtory and English from Georgetown University. Conor has participated in a Foreign Study Abroad Program at Trinity College Dublin and a Summer Semester in East Africa through the National Outdoor Leadership School. Last, they are a Milton Academy graduate and is certified by the New York State Bar Association, Massachusetts Board of Bar Overseers, DC Bar, and State Bar of California as a licensed attorney in each state.
