Embedded Software Engineer at Zipline

Jeff Rogers has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their role as a Lead Micro-Electrical Engineer for the University of Michigan Solar Car Team from September 2004 to December 2009. Here, they were responsible for designing, building, and racing a solar powered car, as well as managing a team of around 10 people.

Following this, they worked as a Contractor at the Toyota Technical Center from May 2006 to May 2010. In this role, they designed a high-performance rapid prototyping system for various vehicles and built a 1/10th scale vehicle lab. Jeff also addressed questions about wireless networks between cars and implemented measures to prevent collisions.

After that, Jeff joined Space Exploration Technologies in June 2010 as a Flight Software Engineer - uC Software. Jeff dealt with real-time reliable distributed computing in the harsh conditions of space, manipulating telemetry from multiple sources and protocols. Jeff remained with the company until August 2013.

From September 2013 to May 2016, Jeff worked at Google as an Embedded Software Engineer. Jeff'sresponsibilities included writing code for self-driving automobiles, ensuring real-time reliability in harsh environments. Jeff also prioritized enabling their colleagues to conduct experiments without causing malfunctions.

Most recently, Jeff has been employed at Zipline International Inc. since May 2016 as an Embedded Software Engineer, although specific start and end dates are not provided.

Jeff Rogers completed their Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering from the University of Michigan. Jeff pursued their education at the university from 2004 to 2010.
