Andrew Bythell

Andrew Bythell has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Andrew started their career in 1999 as a Hardware Software Engineer at Nortel Networks. From 2003 to 2005, they worked as a Lead Guide at Ziptrek Ecotours Inc. Andrew then transitioned to the role of Technical Project Manager at the same company from 2005 to 2010. During this time, they focused on installing and maintaining IT systems with a focus on open-source and web-based applications. Andrew also worked on installing and maintaining VOIP, safety control, and renewable power systems. From 2010 onwards, Andrew took on the role of Director of Technology at Ziptrek Ecotours Inc. Andrew was responsible for designing and installing wireless, solar, safety control, and other electronic systems for zipline tours, guest services, and photography. Andrew also managed IT systems and staff and was involved in software development.

Andrew Bythell obtained their Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) degree in Electrical, Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Ottawa from 1994 to 1999. Andrew also holds additional certifications including a Class 4 Unrestricted Commercial Driver's License from ICBC and the P. Eng. certification from APEGBC and PEO. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in various programming languages and web development from Code School. Andrew has also received training in Outdoor Emergency Care from the National Ski Patrol.
