Carl Karawani

Carl Karawani has a diverse and extensive work experience in software engineering and management roles. Carl served as the Director of Software Engineering at ZIRO, where they led and managed the software engineering teams and collaborated with the executive leadership team to define the vision and strategy for software products. Prior to that, they were the Software Development Manager at Stack8, responsible for leading the software development life cycle and translating customer requirements into product features. Carl also worked as a Software Development Team Lead at Stack8, providing technical leadership and acting as the Scrum Master. Before joining Stack8, Carl worked as a System Software Senior Programmer at eLoyalty, where they provided technical leadership and support for customer-facing projects. Carl also served as a Senior Software Engineer at Nuance Communications, specializing in voice-enabled IVR applications. In addition to their software engineering roles, Carl has experience as an IT Operations Manager at Danian Diagnostics and as a Web Developer at Boutique iStore.

Carl Karawani attended Concordia University from 2004 to 2009, where they pursued a degree in Software Engineering within the field of study of Engineering. Prior to that, from 2002 to 2004, they attended Marianopolis College and earned a Bachelor of Science in Pure & Applied Sciences. Additionally, they completed their secondary education at Collège Notre-Dame from 1997 to 2002. Carl Karawani also holds certifications, including being a Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate obtained in September 2021, and a SpringSource Certified Professional obtained in 2012 from VMware.
