Alberto Joaquin Castañon is an experienced electrical engineer currently serving as an Electrical Protections Engineer at ZIV since October 2020. Previously, Alberto held positions as a Project Manager and Applications Engineer at ZIV Aplicaciones y Tecnología, where contributions included completing a Master's thesis on the impact of wind energy on line protection, utilizing Matlab Simulink for simulations. Prior experience also includes an extensive tenure with GE Power & Water as an Electrical Engineer, focused on gas turbine electrical development, as well as roles at Diram SA de CV, Kolben Ecotecnologías, and MAHLE Behr GmbH & Co. KG, where responsibilities ranged from design analysis to energy consumption projects. Alberto holds an Engineer's degree in Mechanical-Electrical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey and a Master of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from the Universidad del País Vasco, along with ongoing studies for a Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Technologies.
