Melissa Bukhari, RN, CPMA, CPC

Melissa Bukhari has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Melissa is currently working as a Registered Nurse at Hillside Family of Agencies since May 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a Manager at Zivoke starting from June 2017.

From September 2012 to June 2016, Melissa served as an Audit and Education Specialist at Hartford HealthCare. In this role, they conducted annual audits on more than 150 providers and provided education based on audit findings. Melissa also taught ICD-10 implementation and EPIC training.

Before joining Hartford HealthCare, Melissa worked as a Coding Compliance professional at St. Francis Hospital from January 2009 to September 2012. Their responsibilities included performing audits, educating providers, maintaining compliance standards, and shadowing physicians. Melissa's earlier experience includes working as a Coder at Grove Hill Medical Center from April 2006 to January 2009. Prior to that, they worked as a Billing Specialist at Constitution Eye Surgery Center in Newington, CT from January 2006 to April 2006. In this role, they focused on third-party accounts follow-up, workers' compensation follow-up, and handling copay's and charge logs entry.

Melissa Bukhari, RN, CPMA, CPC has a diverse education history, spanning multiple fields of study. In 2001, they attended Middlesex Community College and completed an Associate's degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services, which they pursued until 2003. Following this, in 2005, Melissa enrolled in Branford Hall Career Institute-Southington Campus and acquired a Health Claims Certificate as a Health Claims Specialist, finishing their studies in 2006. Lastly, they embarked on a nursing career, earning an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Registered Nursing/Registered Nurse from Monroe Community College between 2018 and 2020.
