Elizabeth Schermerhorn

Elizabeth Schermerhorn has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. From September 2022, they have been working as a Sr. Project Lead at Zivver. Prior to this, they worked at Aegon Nederland from September 2020 to September 2022 as a Data Officer, where they contributed to the creation of a Data Strategy for a business unit and generated commitment for working on six individual data themes.

Before Aegon Nederland, Elizabeth worked at PwC Nederland from July 2020 to September 2020 as a Senior Consultant, focusing on data strategy and assisting a logistics client in planning for higher maturity in their BI/data implementations for financial reporting. Prior to that, they served as a Consultant at PwC Nederland from January 2018 to July 2020, where they worked on PMO initiatives to help a utilities company become future-ready in the energy transition.

Elizabeth's work experience also includes a role as a Data Management Specialist at Utrecht University from September 2017 to December 2017. In this role, they aimed to improve research quality and assist researchers in managing their data effectively by setting up an initial set of relevant e-learning content.

Elizabeth began their career at the University of Twente, where they held the position of Information Officer from October 2011 to April 2015. In this role, they promoted Technical Computer Science to high school students, conducted workshops, and organized open days to help students make informed choices for their university studies. Additionally, Elizabeth worked as a Developer at the University of Twente from September 2013 to January 2014, where they designed and implemented an Android app for visually impaired individuals.

Furthermore, Elizabeth gained experience as a Student Developer at 100%FAT from April 2013 to July 2013. Here, they created an augmented reality project called VirtueScope using Unity3D, which allowed users to see an ancient rune in a real-world setting.

Lastly, Elizabeth's early work experience includes serving as a Cashier at Action from April 2010 to June 2011.

Elizabeth Schermerhorn holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Business Informatics from Utrecht University, which they earned between the years 2015 and 2017. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Physics from Université de Bordeaux, attending from 2014 to 2015. In 2011, Elizabeth began their academic journey by achieving a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the University of Twente, completing it in 2015. Furthermore, they have obtained a certification in Data Management Fundamentals (CDMP) from Dama International in August 2022.
