Oleksiy Musiyezdov has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Oleksiy began their career as a Professor at V.N.Karazin Kharkiv National University in 2001. In 2008, they worked as an Independent grant researcher at the Center for Urban Studies of East Central Europe. From 2010 to 2011, they continued their research work as an Independent grant researcher at the Center for Advance Studies and Education. In 2011, they also worked as an Independent grant researcher at the International Association of Humanities.

In 2016, Oleksiy gained experience as a Java Developer at IT-Climb, where they developed a CRM system for a Language school using technologies such as Hibernate, Spring MVC, Bootstrap, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.

From 2018 to 2021, they held the position of a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Alberta. During this time, they also worked as an Independent grant researcher at the Canadian Institute for Ukrainian Studies, conducting research independently.

In 2018, Oleksiy founded and served as the team lead for "Глубинки: Записи историю" (Glybinky: Zapisi istoryu), carrying out in-depth biographical interviews to discover and preserve family history.

Most recently, starting in 2021, Oleksiy has been working as a Full-Stack Javascript/Typescript (React + NodeJS) Developer at ZiZo Technologies, Inc. Oleksiy'sresponsibilities include implementing React components, state management, webpage layouts, endpoints for CRUD operations with the database, and unit testing. Oleksiy is experienced in working with technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Node, React, React/Redux, React-Saga, MobX, and PostgreSQL, among others.

Oleksiy Musiyezdov's education history includes obtaining a Specialist (MA) degree in Sociology from Kharkiv State University, which they completed from 1993 to 1998. Oleksiy then pursued a PhD in Sociology at V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University, which they completed from 1998 to 2001. Later, they pursued a Doctor degree in Sociology from the same university, which they completed from 2010 to 2013.
