Aaron Debattista

Aaron Debattista currently serves as the Head of 1LoD Financial Crime Prevention at Zodia Custody, a position held since February 2024. Prior to this role, Aaron worked at EY from 2015 to February 2024, initially as a Senior Consultant in Financial Crime Advisory and later as Manager for Financial Crime and Forensics, where significant contributions included leading risk assessments, drafting critical reports, and implementing KYC processes for a global payments firm. Aaron's earlier experience includes serving as a Solicitor at the Legal Aid Commission of New South Wales (2007-2012), a self-employed Barrister-at-Law (2003-2007), and a Senior Administrative Assistant at the Legislative Assembly of Queensland (1999-2002). Aaron holds a Diploma in Anti Money Laundering from the International Compliance Association, a Master of International and European Law (LLM) from The University of Amsterdam, and dual Bachelor degrees in Laws and Arts from Bond University, specializing in International Relations and Criminology.
