Julian Sawyer

Julian Sawyer has a diverse work experience in the financial services industry. Julian is currently the CEO of Zodia Custody since 2022. Prior to this, they held the role of Honorary Senior Visiting Fellow at City, University of London's Cass Business School starting in 2019. In 2020, Julian served as an Advisor to the Board at Volt Bank, an Australian neobank. Julian also worked as the CEO of Bitstamp, a digital asset exchange, from 2020 to 2022. Julian was the Managing Director of Gemini, a licensed digital asset exchange and custodian, from 2019 to 2020. Before that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer of Starling Bank from 2015 to 2019. Julian was the Chief Executive of Piran Consulting Limited, a payments consultancy, from 2013 to 2015. Julian founded and led Bluerock Consulting as CEO from 1999 to 2012, and also worked as a Consultant at Ernst & Young from 1994 to 1999.

Julian Sawyer attended the University of Portsmouth from 1987 to 1991, where they obtained a BA degree in Business Studies.
