Ronan Fitzgerald

Ronan Fitzgerald has extensive experience in the field of IT, with a focus on roles such as Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, and Systems Administrator.

Ronan'smost recent position was as a Site Reliability Engineer at ZOE, where they began in July 2021 and is currently employed. Prior to this, they worked as a DevOps Engineer at Bud from November 2020 to July 2021.

Ronan Fitzgerald spent a considerable amount of time at MOO, where they held the role of Senior Operations Engineer from January 2017 to November 2020. During their time at MOO, they played a key role in the on-prem to cloud migration project, primarily utilizing AWS as the chosen cloud provider. Ronan worked on tasks related to provisioning with Terraform and Ansible, as well as the migration from cloud virtualization to containerization using Docker. Ronan also championed the shift towards declarative deployments utilizing tools like Terraform and Kubernetes, and established an SRE sub-team to work directly with development teams.

Prior to MOO, Ronan Fitzgerald held the position of DevOps Engineer at The Client Relationship Consultancy Group in 2016. Before that, they were the Global Systems Architect at Wynyard Group from March 2012 to October 2016. During their time there, they relocated to London and reported to the global VP of Services. Ronan was responsible for establishing and expanding the Systems Architecture practice, increasing the team to four members across three continents. Ronan also expanded the SaaS offering by introducing three additional products and leading the AWS and Rackspace hosting for the WRM product.

Before joining Wynyard Group, Ronan Fitzgerald worked as an IT Project Manager at Methodware from February 2007 to March 2012. Ronan was responsible for internal IT management and led the implementation of an AWS cloud-hosted SaaS version of the Methodware risk management product ERA. Ronan also handled platform integration designs for SaaS and on-premises implementations.

Ronan'searlier experiences include roles as a Systems Administrator at ImageZoo in 2006 and Sierra Systems Group in 2006. Ronan was responsible for server migration, disaster recovery, backup systems, and various sysadmin duties.

Before that, they worked as an IT Manager at Lomas Davies Ltd from an unspecified start date to 2005, and as a Technical Developer at Vision Consulting from July 1998 to November 2000.
