Juan Vargas Sierra

Juan Vargas Sierra has extensive work experience in sales, marketing, and information technology. Juan most recently worked as the Sales and Marketing Director at Zoi since July 2015. Prior to that, they held the position of Chief Sales and Marketing Officer at Linke Information Technology and Rocket Steam from September 2014 to June 2015. Juan also worked at Grupo MIQUEL from October 2008 to January 2014, where they served as the Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Juan was responsible for providing technology-driven solutions to enhance business operations and increase revenue. Before that, Juan worked as the System Manager at Grupo Caja de Ingenieros from January 2002 to September 2006, managing various technological projects. Juan also worked as the DBA's Manager at Somm.com from May 2001 to January 2002, overseeing database management and migration projects. Previously, Juan was the Information Technology Manager at EMPRESAS IMAN from August 1998 to April 2001, where they maintained and evolved the company's infrastructure and applications. Juan started their career as a System Administrator at Médicos Sin Fronteras (MSF) from April 1997 to July 1998, managing distributed systems and databases. Juan also has experience as a business owner, having founded Vargas Software, SL and operated it from January 1993 to March 1997.

Juan Vargas Sierra has a diverse educational background. In 1993, they pursued an Associate's Degree in Computer Science at the Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia - U.N.E.D., which they completed in 1996. In 2006, Juan attended Esade and participated in the Program For Management Development focusing on Business Administration and Management. Additionally, Juan has obtained several certifications throughout their career. In 2016, they became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate and also completed the CPO200: Google Cloud Platform for Systems Operations Professionals course offered by ROI Training. In 2017, they obtained the IBM Certified Solution Advisor - SoftLayer V1 certification. Lastly, in 2018, Juan achieved the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification and became a SUSE Certified Administrator in Enterprise Linux 12.
