Sivam Pillai (PhD)

Sivam Pillai (PhD) has a diverse work experience, ranging from Co-Founder & CTO at Zolnoi to Programmer Analyst Trainee at Cognizant Technology Solutions. In 2021, they co-founded Zolnoi and became the CTO, with the goal of helping manufacturing companies reduce unplanned downtimes. Sivam also became a Founder in Residence at Entrepreneur First. From 2016 to 2021, they were a PhD Student and Research Scholar at the National University of Singapore, where they focused on deep learning, fuzzy systems, neural networks, and pattern recognition. In 2019, they co-founded Aruvii. In 2018, they became a part-time Data Scientist at Siemens Building Technologies for the Middle East and Asia Pacific Region. From 2012 to 2018, they worked at Siemens in various roles, including Product Engineer and Engineering Graduate. In 2012, they were a Science Communicator at the Edinburgh International Science Festival. From 2010 to 2012, they were a Lecturer and Research Coordinator at Rizvi College of Engineering. In 2010, they began working as a Programmer Analyst Trainee at Cognizant Technology Solutions.

Sivam Pillai obtained a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Telecommunication from Shri Guru Gobind Singhji Institute of Engineering and Technology between 2006 and 2010. Sivam then went on to pursue a Master of Science (MSc) in Robotics and Embedded Systems at The University of Salford from 2011 to 2012. Finally, they completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computational Intelligence - Electrical and Computer Engineering at the National University of Singapore from 2016 to 2020.
