Rebecca Alderfer

Rebecca Alderfer is a Senior Program Consultant leading the area of Perinatal Mental Health at ZOMA Foundation.

Rebecca began her career at the White House Office of Management and Budget in Washington, D.C., where she shaped policy and funding direction for a portfolio of multi-billion dollar international aid programs. This work progressed to leadership roles in innovative programs with the State Department and at the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria – managing staff and relationships with international colleagues in a dedicated effort to prevent and treat infectious diseases.

Later, Rebecca joined the Pew Charitable Trusts where she served as a strategic advisor for new philanthropic investments. Relocating to Colorado, she joined a Denver-based health policy institute, Colorado Health Institute, focused on informing policymakers and leaders on health and healthcare issues in Colorado.

Rebecca serves as an Advisor for the DeBoskey Group and she is also a Partner with Social Venture Partners of Boulder County. She is a Boulder County Leadership Fellow alum.

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Iowa State University and a Master’s degree in Public Policy from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota.
