Margaret Sawyer

Margaret Sawyer is a Senior Zookeeper at Zoo New England since April 2013, with a track record of leadership in training, education, and project management. Responsibilities include supervising animal husbandry dietary records, overseeing volunteers and interns, and leading public programs on various animal species. Margaret has implemented training programs for species such as red kangaroos and served on the enrichment steering committee to enhance animal welfare. Prior roles included Zookeeper at Zoo New England and an internship at Wildlife Safari, where skills in animal care and safety protocols were developed. Additionally, a degree in Biology was obtained from Cornell University between 2004 and 2008.
