Bethan Laughlin

Bethan Laughlin is a Senior Policy Specialist at the Zoological Society of London, where the focus is on developing science-based policy solutions for conservation, biodiversity, and the climate crisis. Prior to this role, Bethan served on the leadership team for Hackney and Islington Citizens, advocating for various campaigns, and worked as the Sustainable Consumption Lead for Consumers International, promoting consumer rights to sustainable goods. Additionally, Bethan coordinated the UN Consumer Information Programme and held positions as a Parliamentary Policy Advisor and Researcher in the UK House of Lords, specializing in environmental and sustainability issues. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Politics from the University of York, a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from the University of Copenhagen, and completion of the Oxford Leading Strategic Projects Programme.
