Claire McKeown

Claire McKeown is a seasoned professional in architecture and project management, currently serving as the Director of Estate Transformation at the Zoological Society of London since August 2023. Previously, Claire held the position of V&A East Project Director at the Victoria & Albert Museum from June 2018 to April 2024, leading major developments in Stratford, London. Claire's extensive experience includes serving as Director at Platform 5 Consultants, where advice was provided to cultural sector clients, and as Senior Associate at Malcolm Reading Consultants, creating feasibility studies and business cases for building projects. Claire also worked as an Enabling Advisor at CABE, guiding local authorities on design quality, and as a Project Architect at Nick Evans Architects, specializing in educational projects. Claire holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Cambridge, a Master’s in Architecture from the Royal College of Art, and completed professional practice at UCL.
