Katharina Marie Sperling has a diverse work experience in wildlife conservation and press relations. Katharina Marie started their career as a Student Assistant in Public Relations at the Leibniz Institute for Zoo and Wildlife Research (IZW) in 2011. Following this, they worked as a Student Research Assistant at the same institute in 2012. Sperling then joined the Zoologischer Garten Berlin in 2015 as an Assistant Press Officer, where they served until 2017. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Press Relations Officer at the same institution. In 2020, Sperling took on the role of Press Relations Officer and Wildlife Conservation Coordinator until 2022. Currently, they hold the position of Head of the Wildlife Conservation Program at the Zoologischer Garten Berlin.

Katharina Marie Sperling attended Freie Universität Berlin, where they pursued a field of study in Biology.
