Fabiano Cruz is the CEO and co-founder of Zoop. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Technology Advisor at the Inter-American Development Bank from May 2009 to August 2015. There, they supported the preparation of grant proposals and loans, and worked on the preparation of ME-G1001 "Meso-American Health Initiative 2015 – Mexico". Fabiano also authored a Technical Note entitled "Institutional Strengthening and Modernization of the Health Information Systems in Chiapas, Mexico". From September 2007 to May 2009, Cruz worked as a Senior Researcher and Project Manager at INdT - Nokia Institute of Technology. There, they were responsible for leading complex international projects with distributed teams. Some of the notable projects they worked on include Nokia Data Gathering (winner of the Just Means Most Strategic Philanthropy Award in 2011), HIV/AIDS Mobile Reminder, and Nokia Educational Delivery.
Fabiano Cruz has a background in computer science and engineering, with a focus on information systems and organizational leadership. Fabiano holds a Bachelor of Science from ULBRA, a Master of Science from Universidade Federal do Amazonas, and a certification from LinkedIn in Creating a Product-Centric Organization. Fabiano is currently enrolled in an executive program at Harvard University focused on innovation and technology for development.
