Luis Alves

Luis Alves has a strong background in technology and digital development. Luis served as the VP of Technology at Zoop starting in 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Digital Development Manager at Oi S.A from 2017 to 2019, where they focused on creating innovative digital solutions and ensuring a comprehensive UX. Earlier in their career, Luis worked at BTG Pactual in various roles, including IT Development Manager and IT Project Manager. Luis played a key role in implementing new solutions and managing technology teams for multiple projects. Luis also worked as an IT Technical Lead and Senior IT Developer, where they implemented improvements and maintained accounting and back office systems. Before joining BTG Pactual, Luis gained experience at Electronic Data Systems as an IT Infrastructure Analyst and IT Developer, where they worked on system development and infrastructure project management.

Luis Alves completed their education at multiple institutions and obtained various degrees and certifications. In 1999, they earned a degree in Análise de Sistemas from Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro. In 2015, they completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management from FGV - Fundação Getulio Vargas. In 2021, they attended Insper Instituto de Ensino e Pesquisa, specializing in Multimodal Team Leadership in Organizational Leadership. Additionally, Luis has pursued further education and is currently enrolled in a Postgraduate Degree in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro, expected to be completed in 2023. Alongside their degrees, Luis has obtained several certifications: DEFI – FINANÇAS DESCENTRALIZADAS from IAG - Escola de Negócios da PUC-Rio, OKR Certified Professional (OKRCP) from CertiProf, and BLOCKCHAIN PROGRAMÁVEL PARA NEGÓCIOS: SOLIDITY from IAG - Escola de Negócios da PUC-Rio, all obtained in 2022.
