Sharan Ram is an experienced engineer specializing in vehicle integration and safety controls. Currently serving as a Vehicle Integration Engineer at Zoox since April 2023, Sharan previously worked at Rivian as a Senior Crash Sensor Application Engineer, leading airbag sensor calibration for the EDV platform. Prior to Rivian, Sharan held roles at Ford Motor Company, contributing as a Design & Release Engineer for the Restraint control module and as a Safety Sensor Engineer focusing on occupant sensing and control algorithms. Sharan’s career began with a Research Assistant position at Kettering University, where efforts included optimizing touchless gestural interface usability. Sharan holds a Master's degree in Automotive Systems Engineering from Kettering University and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Automotive Engineering from the Vellore Institute of Technology.
