Sunny Makkar

Sunny Makkar is an experienced engineer specializing in vehicle systems and chassis engineering, currently leading the development of an Electro-mechanical Intelligent Suspension system for self-driving robots at Zoox since October 2022. Prior to this role, Makkar directed engineering efforts for suspension systems at Rivian, focusing on Adventure-oriented Electric Vehicles. Extensive experience at Continental includes managing air suspension engineering activities and overseeing technical project leaders. Makkar began the career as a Vehicle Design Engineer at Bajaj Auto Ltd and completed a summer internship at BMW Motorrad. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Automotive Engineering from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute.
