Ed Gaines

Ed Gaines has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, specifically in regulatory affairs, compliance, and revenue cycle management. Ed began their career as an Assistant General Counsel at PhyAmerica Physician Group, Inc. in 1994. From 1996 to 2007, they served as the Sr. Vice President and General Counsel at HBR Healthcare Business Resources, where they were responsible for human resources, provider enrollment, and HIPAA privacy. Gaines then became the Chief Compliance Officer at CBIZ MMP in 2008, overseeing compliance for various medical specialties. Ed later joined Zotec Partners as the Chief Compliance Officer for their Emergency Medicine Division, where they focused on coding and billing policies, as well as presenting on regulatory issues. In 2019, they assumed the role of Vice President of Regulatory Affairs & Industry Liaison at Zotec Partners.

Ed Gaines has a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Wake Forest University School of Law. Ed also holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), with Honors, from Alma College, with a major in History and a minor in Economics.
