Jurij Fikfak is an Associate Professor and researcher at ZRC SAZU since February 1982, specializing in qualitative research across various fields including history of science, ethnology, cultural anthropology, ritual studies, elite studies, national parks studies, and semiotics. Fikfak served as a research advisor at the University of Ljubljana's Faculty of Arts and has held associate and lecturer positions at multiple universities, including Alpe Adria University Klagenfurt Celovec, University of Graz, and University of Vienna. Fikfak earned a PhD in Ethnology, Folklore Studies, and Cultural Anthropology from the University of Ljubljana, completing studies from 1974 to 1980.
