Deepen Desai

Deepen Desai is an experienced cybersecurity professional with a robust background in security research and operations. At Zscaler, from October 2016 to May 2020, Deepen served as Chief Security Officer and EVP of Cyber & AI Engineering, where responsibilities included incubating cybersecurity innovations and overseeing internal security for corporate and product areas. Previous roles included Vice President of Security Research & Operations and Senior Director of Security Research at ThreatlabZ. Prior to Zscaler, Deepen worked at Dell | SonicWALL, managing a malware research team and engaging in security research projects, and held positions focused on vulnerability and malware research. Early career experience includes work as a Security Research Engineer at iPolicy Networks and an internship at Comprehensive Blood & Cancer Center. Deepen holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from San José State University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering from South Gujarat University.
