Tom Mao

Tom Mao is an accomplished telecommunications professional with extensive experience in radio access network (RAN) architecture and optimization. Currently serving as Principal RAN Architect and in leadership roles within the CTO Group at ZTE USA since March 2008, Tom has previously held senior positions in pre-sales at T-Mobile and various engineering roles at Cingular Wireless and Ericsson. Tom's career spans over two decades, encompassing significant responsibilities such as Director of R&D at Ericsson China and Sr. Staff RF Engineer at Ericsson Radio Systems. Tom holds a Ph.D. and MSEE in Electrical Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, reflecting a solid academic foundation in the field.
