Claire Hees is currently the Operations Manager at Zuar. Prior to that, they were a Project Manager at Concept Services, Inc., where they provided design services, conceptual consulting, logistical solutions and installations to both emerging and market leading chain restaurants. Before that, they were a Key Holder at Cyc Fitness, where they delivered personal and enthusiastic customer service to ensure profitable sales and regular attendance for this boutique indoor cycling studio. Claire was also active in Business Development and was the Head of the corporate Wellness Benefits Program and company Werq Weeks. Prior to that, they were a Seasonal Apprentice at Apple Ridge Farm, where they worked 6-7 days a week, 10-12 hr days, splitting time between horticulture, caring for livestock and working in the bakery. On the land, they planted, maintained, and harvested crops on 4 acres in both fields, tunnels and a hydroponic greenhouse. Twice a day, they fed and watered the chickens, cleaned their coops and moved the mobile broiler pens. Every night they collected eggs. Every other week they helped butcher a batch of 60 meat chickens, some of which they then used to make chicken pot pies, some of which they sold at farmer's markets like the one they manned in Easton, PA every Saturday. In the bakery, they mixed large batches of dough and shaped up to 500 loaves in a day to make 8-10 different types of sourdough bread. Claire prepared pastries, pies, granola and natural dog treats. Claire helped in recipe development for new products such as chocolate/coconut granola bars, pretzel chips and roasted heirloom tomato bruschetta. Claire also developed a brand new line of 5 gourmet organic mustards for Apple Ridge, cooked the batches and jarred 250 cases to be sold.
Claire Hees received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) from The University of Texas at Austin in Fine and Studio Arts. Claire is certified from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in the Hormone Health Course.
