Maciej Nowak graduated at the Jagiellonian University of Cracow at the Faculty of Law and Administration where he received the title of doctor of law. He specialises in economic law, with particular focus on the railway transport laws. Since 2002 he has been a member of a few companies of the ZUE Group, such as: ZUE S.A. (2002-2007), PREFTOR S.A. (2002-2006), PREFTOR S.A. - company terminated (2006-2008), TORBUD Sp. z o.o. - company terminated (2010- until now), Przedsiębiorstwo Robót Komunikacyjnych w Krakowie S.A. (2010- until now).In 2009-2010 he acted as the President of the Management Board of Biuro Inżynieryjnych Usług Projektowych Sp. z o.o.
He was Management Board Member of ZUE S.A. since 9th January 2014. He has been Vice President of the Management Board of ZUE S.A. since 3rd February 2017.
