Rien van der Knaap

Rien van der Knaap is an experienced mobility strategist and project manager currently serving the Municipality of Veldhoven since November 2021 and as a mobility broker for the Climate Agreement in Rotterdam since January 2022. Additionally, Rien holds board member positions at Open Geo Foundation and Movinnio, while owning OC Mobility, a consultancy focused on traffic and transport projects. Previously, Rien was a project manager for the Municipality of Capelle aan den IJssel, leading the development of the Rivium multimodal transport hub, and has held various roles in transport and logistics since 1984. Academic qualifications include master's degrees in Business Economics from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Town and Country Planning from Radboud University.
